THREADING

Threading_

Threading is the ancient method of hair removal practiced in Eastern countries.  It's thought to have originated from Persia,  but has recently become popular in the West. Threading removes the entire hair follicle, lasting up to 2 to 4 weeks.

It uses a cotton thread/string, which is manipulated by  the technician to make a series of knots/mini lassos which are pulled along the skin, to trap the hair, and lift the hair right out of the follicle.

Eyebrow threading gives your brows a beautiful defined look that is not obtainable by tweezing as threading uses such a precise technique. Every single hair is taken out every time you get threaded.

Threading creates clear sharp lines and is known for it's groomed overall effect.

The Pros

. It’s extremely sanitary. Nothing touches the skin but the thread and then it’s thrown away.

. No chemicals are applied to the skin so there is no possibility of conflict with any medication the client may be taking

. It’s very fast

. Neat with clean presise lines

. Only hair is removed not skin.

. Minimal skin irritation

. Regrowth 2 - 4 weeks

. Temporary results can turn permanent over time. Frequent threading can cause the hair follicle to become damaged so meaning the hair will stop   growing.

The Cons

. If done incorrectly, the hairs can break, this means re-growth will slow up a lot sooner.

. Some hair growth is necessary. You need at least 1/16th of an inch.

. Itching and skin reddening

Discomfort is similar to tweezing only quicker.
